Saskatchewan Stitches Conference

What is the Saskatchewan Stitches Conference?

The Saskatchewan Stitches Conference Is held annually in the peaceful relaxing atmosphere of St. Peter's Abbey and College in Muenster Saskatchewan, just 10 minutes east of Humboldt.

St. Peter's Abbey is home of the oldest Benedictine Monastery in Canada, founded in 1903.  It's Guest wing and the adjoining St. Peters' College are the perfect location for this event.  Accommodations and Meals can be booked for participants and instructors and large bright classrooms provide ample space for all workshops and more.

This event was established in 2003 by the Haus of Stitches to provide a variety of classes in sewing, quilting, bra making, knitting, rug hooking and fibre arts.  It brings together those with common interests to learn, share and inspire each other.  What began as 5 days of classes with 60 participants has grown over the past 20 years to 9 days with over 60 classes and up to 250 participants. (I am sure the Monks of St. Peter's never imagined that would happen!)  Instructors and participants from around the world have joined us, it has become a favorite event for friends and family members to gather and share time together.

If you have never attended and want to know what to expect please click on the link and read about Lori's first experience with us and how she found us.  Just so you know she has returned every year since with a friend!
